Toronto company, DNA My Dog, has partnered with Paleo DNA Laboratory at Lakehead University to help connect owners with their dog - but with a twist: it's from beyond the grave.

DNA My Dog said items such as fur, collars, food dishes and clothing doesn't count as they won't contain enough saliva. It appears that anything your dog slobbered all over is what they need to perform this test.

The test is available at www.dnamydog.com for $157 CAD.
