10 Everyday Struggles of Being a Large Dog

Do you have any idea the struggles I go through everyday as a large dog? Oh dear, sweet human, you really don’t.

I’ve been told that humans enjoys lists, so, here is a list of 10 everyday struggles I go through being a large dog:

1. Why can’t I sit on your lap? The cat sits on your lap

What do you mean I’m “too big”? That’s ridiculous!

2. I didn’t mean to knock you over

I’m sorry, I just got really excited that you were home and wanted to kiss your face.

3. I didn’t mean to knock over the lamp

It’s just my tail kind of hits things sometimes. I don’t know why.

4. I didn’t mean to knock over…

Okay, you know what? I just didn’t mean to knock any of it over. I’m sorry!

5. People are scared or nervous around me

I’m big but I’d never hurt anyone!

6. All the good Halloween costumes are for little dogs

It’s just not fair. I’d love to be mer-dog or pumpkin!

7. That’s hilarious, but where is the rest of my dinner?

This joke has been going on far too long, human.

8. Oh, so now I’m too big to sleep in the bed, too?

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I only take up 2/3 of the bed.

9. I’m not too big. The cat is too small

It’s not my fault he squeaks when I step on him.

10. Hiding spots are hard to find

Yes I pooped on the floor. I thought I was hidden. You need bigger plants.

Do you see what I go through? Honestly! With all that, I don’t think I’d trade these long legs and giant chest for one ride in your bike’s basket (as fun as that does sound).
