World famous Cheese Boutique raises funds for the Etobicoke Humane Society

Local business owner and rescue dog owner, Afrim Pristine of the Cheese Boutique in Toronto, decided to put his money where his mouth is and mix business with pleasure.

Earlier this month, the cheesemonger decided to auction off an entire wheel of local television morning-time host of Breakfast Televison, Kevin Frankish's very own aged ‪Manchego.‬ The live-to-air was broadcasted on February 23, 2016 with viewers calling in and tweeting bids to support the Etobicoke Humane Society in all that they do.

The final bid ended off at $925 and went to Drilon B. of Toronto who not only was excited to win a great brick of cheese but support the Etobicoke Humane Society.

On March 29, the official cheque presentation was made to the Humane Society and Afrim Pristine of Cheese Boutique with his two rescue dogs Charlie and Henry in tow. Afrim explained that he was so excited to help out the Etobicoke Humane Society with this donation because he has seen how much light, joy, and wonder his two rescue dogs have brought into his life and he wants to continue to help bring that to others.

If you didn't win the wheel of cheese, but still want to help make a difference - each and every day, dog lovers can visit The Cheese Boutique in Etobicoke and purchase one of Afrim's high-end doggie treats aptly titled, Henry's Treats packed with double-smoked bacon and foie-gras. Afrim has made the commitment of donating 50% of the proceeds to the Etobicoke Humane Society.
