Dogs Get Special Flight Out Of Forest Fire Ravaged City

As many of you may know, there is currently a devastating forrest fire engulfing the city of Fort McMurray, Alberta. The fire has reached a total of 85,000 hectares, and has displaced more than 90,000 residence. Most of them have lost everything, including their beloved pets. 

For the lucky ones, who were able to save their furry family members, aircraft transport was made available by WestJet. With 130 people on board, 19 dogs, 5 cats, and 2 turtles, the ride was tightly packed with grateful families.

Furever Homes Needed for 70 Dogs Seized from Farm in Rural Saskatchewan

Seventy dogs were seized from a farm near Riceton, Saskatchewan last week after an ongoing animal cruelty investigation. Originally the owner had 150 dogs, but managed to re-home some before Animal Protection Services of Saskatchewan (APSS) stepped in.

Professional Fetchers: Shelter Dogs Serve As Ball Boys At Brazilian Open

This year the Brazilian Open opted for "ball boys" who really take pride in their work, and live by the slogan “Do What You Love, Love What You Do”…

Man’s best friend joined professional tennis players on the court of this exciting international tennis tournament. The dogs were shelter dogs who were once street dogs in Sao Paulo, who were specially trained and given a new leash on life. The four pups, Frida, Costela, Mel, and Isabelle, were even featured in the spotlight at the exhibition match between Roberto Carballes Baena and Gasto Elias.
